Gopi Taral:

We are gathered here today for Dada's birthday ceremony but I am going to tell something about me.

When I was 13 years old, I started walking from Sanali village and came to Danta town  and having only 13 Rupees in my pocket,  kept walking up to Jalotra Village ( Sanali to Jalotra  is about 37 kilometers) and then took bus to Lokniketan. Next day I was shown the work of  clearing a thorny field, filled with jujube trees. Mr. Narpatsinh motivated us and said that we are Adivasi and hailing from Danta sub district so we know the job and he was expecting that we will be able to finish the work in a weeks time, to his surprise we finished the work in a day. When Harisinh Chavda heard about my work, he inquired about me and commented that this boy has promising capacities. This comment of his motivated me so much that it made me more hard working boy.

For three years, everyday I helped our cook kneading 20 kilograms of dough for chapattis. I got selected for national sports competition of Kabbadi  and defeated the state of Andhra Pradesh' team.

When I came in the beginning I had not enough dresses, I had only one dress and one sleeve of the shirt was torn. I did not go home during vacation due to want of money. One day I was walking hiding my sleeve and Mrs. Pushpaben saw me and said, "hey boy, come here, you don't won't go home?" How could I say that I didn't have money? So I requested her to allow me to stay here during the vacation. During these I was hiding my sleeve but she came to know that my sleeve is torn. She immediately gave me few of Dada's dresses. Once she saw that I do not have shoes, she took me to the Palanpur market and purchases a pair of canvas shoes for me. This was first pair of shoes in my life. I am not having vices, I do not drink alcohol, I do not smoke, I don't even take tea, they have cultivated all these good habits in me. I got the job also because of Harisinh Chavda's request to district collector. Thus Mrs. Pushpaben is my mother and The great sir (Harisinh Chavda) is like my father. I wish them good health and a very long life on his birth anniversary. They have never asked anything from us, today I appeal to all my fellow friends to become supporting pillars of their work so that their unselfish work can keep on progressing.

I started my carrier as a clerk in Public Works Department, then joined Education Department become junior superintendent and retired from pension section while having full charge of  superintendent. All the prosperity and happiness I got in my life was due to this Institution and  I am promising that when ever I am called upon to do anything for this Institution, I will come forward and never hesitate.

Lila Barad :

I will tell you this story in short as the gist of my story is similar to Gopi Taral's talk.

Mr. P.V. Rajgor was a District Superintendent in Education Department like Mr. Gopi Taral. As a boy, I was working as a maid servant in Mr. Rajgor's house and used to clean his vessels and wash family's clothes. On hearing Lokniketan's fame, I had joined this institute in class 8th.

I belong to a shepherd community. National best teacher award winner Mr. Shankar Chamadia was with me. We both were financially so poor that there was a question of what to eat. We had only one pair of dress which we used to wash during the night and use it again the next day.

Lokniketan gave us everything and supported us through out our education. I am a witness to Dada's (Mr. Harisinh Chavda's) many courageous and selfless activities, he has never cared for himself. Today education has become very costly and many of our poor children requires to be supported. Lokniketan is supporting many such children and we need to support Lokniketan.

Today I am a happy and prosperous man who has retired a secondary school principal. My son is trusted personal guard of Chief Minister of Gujarat. Like me, my second son is also a millionaire working at Bombay. This Institution has done so much for my family that to repay it, even if I give my head, it will be less. I wish that revered Dada (Mr. Harisinh Chavda) gets a long life so that his services are available to this region. Let us all support him and tell him that we are all with him in his most valued work.

Poonja Thakor :

Salute to revered Dada (Mr. Harisinh Chavda),  Dadi (Mrs. Pushpaben Chavda) and my farmer brothers. I came to study here when my native place - Santalpur was suffering from famine. We were pathetically poor, indigent at that time, even to get a single pie was difficult. At that time Dada brought about 25 of us and gave us all the facilities to study for four years. He gave us everything, all the necessities. I would say, today I have put on these sparkling white dress is due to his grace. I am working in water supply department and my entire family is very happy and prosperous due to him. My wife is accompanying me to pay respect to him and this Institute. Since morning we are remembering him like our God and a Guru.

Mahesh Chauhan :

Our life has began with Dada's (Mr. Harisinh Chavda) name so I do not know what to say. I was born here, what ever was necessary to make this life progress and prosperous was provided to me by this Institution. My life's first piece of bread was given to me by Dada and Dadi. All what is good in my blood is given by them. They are more to us then our parents. It is impossible to narrate all these things in two minutes. Till death we will never forget what they have done for us.
